Hospitality Ministries

Hospitality is a key to the life of St. John’s. Our ushers and parishioners greet you as you enter the Sanctuary either by the front red door facing Albany Ave or by the ramp entrance from the back parking lot into our Vestibule. Turn left in the Vestibule and you will be heading towards the Sanctuary where services are held. There’s signage so you should be able to find your way to where you need to be.

As a guest or a new visitor please leave your info on the short form on the clipboard, if you will and we will contact you to get to know one another better. Truth be told many of us feel that we are an extended worshiping family joined by our beliefs and by our desire to belong to a community of faith-based individuals, friends, neighbors and families. We have moved from being complete strangers to becoming loving, caring, spiritually-minded folks, who are a part of the bigger picture. We worship together, we pray together, we sing together, we confess together and we play together. We serve the larger community and hope that you and your family will become part of ours.

There are many church service opportunities to get to know us and for us to get to know you. For example, Social Hour is after the 10 am service. Come for a few weeks to find your place and soon you’ll find your way to serve. There’s no pressure, and we have a sign-up list with instructions as to what to do. Simple. So many of us volunteer to serve or to contribute towards making Social Hour a shared activity. It’s wonderful to know that someone joined us, shared in a meal or sought refuge in the village.

We are thankful for your presence among us, and for St John’s parishioners, for all their meaningful intentions to share of themselves to help you feel welcome as though you were Christ himself. Join us!
It is an honor to serve.

We welcome your contributions to our Social Hour. If you would like to sign-up to help or host, please do so on the bulletin board outside the Parish Hall.
