Hospitality Ministries

Hospitality is a key to the life of St. John’s.

Our ushers and parishioners greet you as you enter the Sanctuary. We have signage throughout the building to assist you and there is plenty of information about the community in our weekly worship bulletin. If you are a guest or are new to St. John’s, please leave your info on the short form on the clipboard and we will contact you to get to know one another better. And everyone is invited to come for our Social Hour after Sunday worship where we serve coffee and snacks.

At St. John’s, we are an extended worshiping family joined by our beliefs and by our desire to belong to a community of faith-based individuals, friends, neighbors and families. We move from being complete strangers to becoming loving, caring, spiritually-minded folks, who are a part of the bigger picture. We worship together, we pray together, we sing together, we confess together and we play together. We serve the larger community and hope that you and your family will become part of ours.

Social Hour offers all of us an opportunity to get to know one another more deeply. If you’d like to help, we have a sign-up list with instructions as to what to do. So many of us volunteer to serve or to contribute towards making Social Hour a shared activity. It’s wonderful to know that someone joined us, shared in a meal or sought refuge in our community.

We are thankful for all the ways in which people share themselves to extend hospitality. For, in doing so, we are extending hospitality to Christ.
