The Reverend Michelle M. Meech, Rector

Michelle is the recently called Rector of St. John’s, having arrived here in March of 2016 with her dog Bella.  As a priest she sees her primary role as teacher and encourager; one who reminds, supports, and invites others to know and live into the love that is already written on our hearts.  It was through her work as an Enneagram teacher that Michelle heard her call to the priesthood.  She comes to us after having served on diocesan and seminary staffs, and as an associate priest at St. Alban’s in Albany, CA.  She graduated from Church Divinity School of the Pacific in 2010 and was ordained to the priesthood later that year by Bishop Nedi Rivera of Eastern Oregon.  Michelle is looking forward to experiencing all that the Mid-Hudson region has to offer – hiking, kayaking, arts, and the intimacy of small towns.  And she’s thrilled to join St. John’s in ministry to serve Kingston.
