Safe Church Training
The Episcopal Diocese of New York is committed to keeping our churches and ministries safe. Using the Safeguarding Training Series published by the Church Pension Fund, the diocese offers Safe Church Training concerning both children and adults. Training teaches participants to recognize the signs of sexual abuse and the behavior of sexual perpetrators and how to respond to those signs and behaviors when they are observed.
The Episcopal congregations in Ulster County have come together to sponsor this in-person training. If, for some reason, you are unable to attend these training sessions on October 22, please speak directly with the clergy of your congregation about registering for the lengthier online training modules.
Both of these in-person training sessions will take place at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 207 Albany Ave in Kingston. There is a parking lot in the rear of the building and a ramp to access the building.
We request a suggestion donation of $10/person to cover costs. Bring payment with you.
